Sum of all angles on a straight line is 180°

90° + (6x - 2)° + 20° = 180°

open the bracket

90° + 6x° - 2° + 20° = 180°

6x° + 108° = 180°

collect all like terms to a side

6x° = 180° - 108°

6x° = 72°

divide both sides by 6

x° = 72/6

x° = 12°
