Answer:

length=15cm

width=12cm

Explanation:

solution

2[l+w] is the formula of getting perimeter of a rectangle

let width be=x

length=x+3 since its longer than width

2[x+3+x]=54 cm

2[x+x+3]=54 cm

2[2x+3]=54 cm

4x+6=54 cm

4x=54_6

4x=48 divide both side by 4

x=12 cm

where x is width =12 cm

length is x+3 where

12+3= 15cm
