Answer:

Each of these pieces gave different perspectives on the war in Vietnam. Both of them both expressed their disagreement in the war but in two completely different literary ways. The poem by Muriel Ruckeyser expressed her sadness and grief for the war as she hear the news about it that was published in the papers. In her poem she resulted in hope for peace and love to reach throughout the world, and in this way reaching a much more emotionally connected audience. This contrasts with David Lance Giones' essay, as he took more of a violent approach, instead of a softer one. He did this through his use of satire as he expresses the brutality of the war, arguing that the horrors of it all were against his beliefs.

Step-by-step explanation:

I got full marks on Odyssey.

Both the poems describe the war in different perspectives.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Muriel Rukeyser expresses her grief about the war and the sad stories which were published in the newspaper every morning. In the end end, she hoped there would be peace and love.
  • David Lance Goines uses satire to express his views of horrors of war. It creates a sense of suspense which makes it thrilling. His aggressive arguments give us a sense of the brutality of the war.
  • Rukeyser's poem takes a passive approach to reveal the aftermath of war but Goines poem takes a violent approach.
