A) Circumference = 62.8 yd, Area = 314 yd²

B) Circumference = 14.1 cm, Area = 15.8 cm²

Solution:

A) Radius = 10 yd

The value of π = 3.14

Circumference = 2πr

= 2 × 3.14 × 10

Circumference = 62.8 yd

Area of circle = πr²

= 3.14 × 10²

Area of circle = 314 yd²

B) Diameter = 4.5 cm

Radius = 4.5 ÷ 2 = 2.25 cm

Circumference = 2πr

= 2 × 3.14 × 2.25

Circumference = 14.1 cm (nearest tenth)

Area of circle = πr²

= 3.14 × (2.25)²

Area of circle = 15.8 cm²
