The probability of picking an orange is 8/18. By further simplifying the equation we can say that the probability is 4/9.

Explanation:

If a paper bag contains 4 apples ,6 pears and 8 oranges the the

Total number of fruit in the paper bag is 18

Now we know that the paper bag consist of 18 fruits in total

If we want to calculate the probability of picking an orange from the Paer bag in random then

Probability of picking orange ==>8/18=4/9

Similarly,

Probability of picking Apple ==>4/18=2/9

Probability of picking pear==>6/18=3/9

So we can say that the fruit that is most likely to be chosen is Orange
