Answer:

1 cup of sugar should be used if 2 cups of bananas are used.

Explanation:

Given:

A recipe for banana bread requires 3 cups of banana for every 1 1/2 cups of sugar used.

Now, if 2 cups of bananas are used find the cups of sugar should be used.

So, to get the cups of sugar used in 2 cups of bananas by using unitary method:

In 3 cups of banana sugar used =
(3)/(2) cups.

So, in 1 cup of banana sugar used =
(3)/(2) / 3=(3)/(2) * (1)/(3) =(1)/(2) \ cups.

Thus, in 2 cups of banana sugar used =
(1)/(2) * 2=1\ cup.

Therefore, 1 cup of sugar should be used if 2 cups of bananas are used.
