2. Determining the purpose of the speech: Speeches can fall into three categories which are; in some case we give speech to( inform). this means to teach the audience with facts and evidence. Another category is to give speech to (persuade) this means to influence the belief or attitudes of the Audience. the last category is that we speak to entertain or amuse the audience.

Therefore the speaker has to determine the purpose of the speech.

3. Choosing a topic: After the purpose of the speech has been determined, the next step is to choose a suitable topic. their will be some parameters set to help guide the the topic selection which will be appropriate for the occassion.

4. Writing a thesis statement: This means a one sentence summary of the main idea of the speech.
