tan x + sec x

Explanation:

(sinx +1) cos x

cos ^2 (x)

(sinx +1) cos x

------------------------

cos (x) cos x

Cancel cos x from top and bottom

(sinx +1)

------------------------

cos (x)

Break apart

sinx / cos x + 1 /cos x

We know that sin /cos is tan and 1 /cos = sec

tan x + sec x
