set to improper fraction

12 4/7 - 88/7

2 3/14- 31/14

now find the GCF which if is 14

so set both equations under 14

88/7 will now be 176/14 ( u need to multiple the 7 by 2 to get 14 so you multiple 88 by two also. )

and 31/14 will stay the same

now you add 176/14 + 31/14 which is 207/14

now u simply that too
