A society sees a rise in births outside of marriage. As this continues to occur, less and less of society sees it as deviant. How would Durkheim respond to this?

Answer: The society would always have a group of people who will consider this as deviant.

Step-by-step explanation:

Emile Durkheim or Durkheim is a psychologist that developed the theories of social structure that included functionalism, the division of labor, and anomie. These theories were founded on the concept of social facts, or societal norms, values, and structures.

Anomie, according to the Durkeim is the state in which there is a breakdown of social norms and guidance. When things doesn't follow the way that the society considers normal. Having children outside marriage is an Anomie, and no matter what happens or how frequently it occurs, There will still be a number of people in the society that will consider it an Anomie or Deviant from how it should be.
