an equation to find the length r of the red ribbon is
r = (3b)/(2) , where b is the length of blue ribbon.

Explanation:

We have , The length of the blue ribbon is two-thirds the length of the red ribbon. Let length of red ribbon is r cm , than length of blue ribbon is two-thirds the length of the red ribbon i.e.
(2r)/(3) .

Length of red ribbon = r cm

Length of blue ribbon = b =
(2r)/(3) cm

⇒ Length of blue ribbon = b =
(2r)/(3) cm

⇒ b =
(2r)/(3)

r = (3b)/(2)

Therefore, an equation to find the length r of the red ribbon is
r = (3b)/(2) , where b is the length of blue ribbon.

The equation to find the length r of the red ribbon is:

r = (3b)/(2)

Solution:

Let "b" be the length of blue ribbon

Let "r" be the length of red ribbon

To find: equation for length r of the red ribbon.

The length of the blue ribbon is two - thirds the length of the red ribbon

Which means,

\text{Length of blue ribbon } = (2)/(3) * \text{ length of the red ribbon }

Therefore,

b = (2)/(3) * r\\\\3b = 2r\\\\r = (3b)/(2)

Thus the equation to find the length r of the red ribbon is found
