The brain is re-wired to the point that the person's mental condition, behaviour and thoughts are all changed. This will cause the person to feels as if they cannot live or function well without the substance and always seek for it. It will also incite denial of ever having a problem as well. Continued use of the substance will cause a person to become tolerant to the substance which will require them to use more.
