Answer:

The answer is 156cm^2

Explanation:

Solution:

The shape given is a trapezium.

The area of the green region = Area of the outer trapezium - Area of the inner trapezium.

Area\: of\:a\:trapezium\:=(1)/(2)\:(a+b)h

Where\: a,b\:are\:the\:bases,\:h=height

For,\:outer\:trapezium,

a=10cm,\:b=14cm,h=16cm

Area\:of\:the\:outer\:trapezium=(1)/(2)\:(10+14)16

=(1)/(2)(24)(16)=192cm^(2)

For\:inner\:trapezium,

a=3cm,b=6cm,h=8cm

Area\:of\:the\:inner\:trapezium=(1)/(2)(3+6)8

=(1)/(2)(9)(8)=36cm^(2)

193cm^(2)-36cm^(2)

=156cm^(2)

The answer is 156cm^2
