you have to add the area of two rectangles and a quarter of a circle

the biggest rectangle size is 2 by 5, its area is then 2*5 = 10

the small one is 2 by 1, its area is 1*2 = 2

radius of the circle is 1, it's area is 1²π = 3.14 but you need only 1/4 of it so 3.14/4 = 0.785

total area is 10+2+0.785 = 12.785
