Plotting fractions on a number line.

Hi, could someone please explain this to me in the most simple way possible? Thank you! I'm just lost on how to do this right :(

Explanation:

Each of the ticks is

`(1)/(6) \: units`

To plot 2½ , you locate the tick that is half way from 2 to 3, that will be the 3rd of the six ticks.

To plot

`1 (5)/(6)`

You locate the fifth tick from 1 to 2
