Answer:

y = -1/5x + 24/5

Explanation:

in order to get an equation of a line :

Get the gradient :

which is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= 9-11 / 7- -3

= -2/10

gradient = -1/5

Get the midpoint :

which is (x1 + x2)/2 , (y1+y2) / 2

= 11+7 = 18/2 = 9

= -3 + 9 = 6/2 = 3

midpoint = (9,3)

now create the equation using the formula

Y1 - y = m(x1 - x)

where m is the gradient

now place the midpoint values in the equation

y- 3 = -1/5 (x-9)

y - 3 = -1/5x +9/5

y=-1/5x + 9/5 +3

y = -1/5x + 24/5
