Answer:

x = 4

Explanation:

3x - 2y = 6 → (1)

x + 2y = 10 → (2)

add (1 ) and (2) term by term to eliminate y

(3x + x) + (- 2y + 2y) = 6 + 10 , that is

4x = 16 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 4
