this equals: 510,

the new mean will be

767+477+340+680+464+207+635 +10000/8

which comes out to be:

This is bigger than the previous mean by :

Now the median of the first 7 observations would be:

477

of the 8 observations it woulf be

477 + 635/2

which comes out to be 79
