and the diagonal measure is 47 ft. How long is the
swimming pool to the nearest tenth of a foot?

sqr Hypothenus= sqr opposite + sqr adjacent

47^2 = 25^2+ length^2

2209 = 625+ length^2

2209-625 = length^2

1584 = l^2

l = sqrt 1584 = 39.7994974843

Length = 39.8 ( nearest tenth)
