Solution:

Water tank A has a capacity of 550 gallons and is 66% full

Let, w = 550

p = 66 % = 0.66

The percent equation is: a = p . w

where,

"a" is the gallons of water in Tank A

p is the percent in fraction or decimal form

w is the capacity of tank A

Therefore,


a = 0.66 * 550\\\\a = 363

Thus 363 gallons of water is in Tank A
