A point charge QQQ is located a short distance from a point charge 3QQQ, and no other charges are present. If the electrical force on QQQ is FFF, what is the electrical force on 3QQQ? A point charge is located a short distance from a point charge 3, and no other charges are present. If the electrical force on is , what is the electrical force on 3?

To solve this problem we will apply the Coulomb electrostatic force law for which said force is defined as:

F = (kQ_1Q_2)/(r^2)

Here,

k = Coulomb's law

Q_(1,2) = Charge in each object

r = Distance between them

Now at the object one we have that the formula is,

F_1 = (kQ_1(3Q_2))/(r^2)

At the object two the force is

F_2 = (kQ_1(3Q_2))/(r^2)

According to Newton's third law every action has its reaction so the forces will be equal. The correct answer should be one in which the correct option is 'F'. Well, the forces are the same.
