PLEASE ANSWER ASAP

Ok I have an example question here -7 (2+1) So I know that I need to simplify what's inside here ( ) and I have -7 (3) now I need to multiply -7 by 3 but how do I do that when 7 is negative

-7(2+1)

-7(3)

-21

negative X positive = negative

positive X positive = positive

negative X negative = positive

These simple rules might help with your question.

Explanation:

We have a rule that says : -ab = -(ab)

Then -7 (3) = -(7×3) = - 21

by the way :

(-7) + (-7) + (-7) =(-7)×3 = -7(3)
