The expression representing the price dakoth paid is 0.85x

The amount paid by Dakotah is $ 114.75

Solution:

Given that, Dakotah bought shoes maked down ,p, by 15%

To find: Expression that represents the price dakoth paid

Let "x" be the original price of shoes

Mark down = 15 %

Thus mark down price is given as:

Mark down price = 15 % of x

Mark\ down\ price\ = 15 \% * x\\\\Mark\ down\ price = (15)/(100) * x = 0.15x

Then we can say,

Amount paid by Dakoth = original price of shoes - mark down price

Amount paid by Dakoth = x - 0.15x

Amount\ paid\ by\ Dakoth = 0.85x

If shoes were origanlly 135 how much did he pay

Therefore, original price = $ 135

x = 135

Amount\ paid\ by\ Dakoth = 0.85 * 135 = 114.75

Thus amount paid by Dakotah is $ 114.75
