Answer: C is correct (trial by jury).

Explanation: John of England was very unpopular king so the opposition of barons resulted. They required protection from illegal imprisonment, access to justice, limitations of taxes to Crown. Soon afterwards king John died (1216) leaving his heir apparent (Henri III) under the regency. Regency government reissued Magna Carta in 1216 and eliminated some of its more radical statements. Carta was reissued again in 1225. Henry´s son Edward I repeated this practice again in 1297.
