so, 32 and 24 are right-angled to each other (90°).

therefore, we can use Pythagoras to calculate x.

c² = a² + b²

with c being the Hypotenuse (the side opposite of the 90° angle).

in our case

x² = 24² + 32² = 576 + 1024 = 1600

x = 40
