PLEASE HELP ME! I do not understand!

Find the acute angle with the same tangent ratio as

i) 240 degrees

ii) 200 degrees

Answer:

Tan (240º) = Tan (60º) = 1.73205

Tan (200º) = Tan (20º) = 0.36397

Explanation:

Trigonometrical functions are periodical.

Tangent have periods of 180º (π in Radian scale)

So:

240º = 180º + 60º = π + 60º

200º = 180º + 20 = π + 20º

As Cycle property for tangent:

Tan (π + x) = Tan (x)

So in our exercise:

Tan (240º) = Tan (180º + 60º) = Tan (π + 60º) = Tan (60º) = 1.73205

Tan (200º) = Tan (180º + 20º) = Tan (π + 20º) = Tan (20º) = 0.36397
