Given: AP (opposite)= 33 km

PB(adjacent)= 24 km

Now, finding the value of AB (hypotenous)

Using the pythagorean theoram to solve it.


AB^(2) = AP^(2) + PB^(2)


AB^(2) = 33^(2) + 24^(2)


AB^(2) = 1089+576


AB^(2) = 1665

Taking square root on both side, remember;
\sqrt{x^(2) } = x


AB= √(1665)

∴ AB= 40.80 km
