Answer:

12 times.

Explanation:

Attached is the complete question.

Given: Each student must add 3/8 teaspoon of salt to a solution.

The group only has a 1/8 teaspoon measuring spoon.

Lets assume number of times spoon each students need to fill be "x" to get
(3)/(8) \ teaspoon for performing experiment.

Now finding the number of times each students need to fill the measuring spoon.

(1)/(8) * x= (3)/(8)

Multiplying both side by 8

x= (3* 8)/(8)= 3

∴ x= 3 .

Hence, each students need to fill 3 times teaspoon to perform experiment.

As given there are 4 students in the group, therefore each will add 3 teaspoon to perform experiment.

∴ Total number of times teaspoon to be added =
number\ of\ spoon\ by\ each\ student* total\ number\ of\ students

Total number of teaspoon to be added=
3* 4= 12

∴ 12 number of times teaspoon need to fill the measuring spoon in order to perform experiment.

A group of students is performing in experiment with so each student and 3/8 teaspoon-example-1
