Answer:
Land pollution is a situation where the environment is exposed to certain toxic substances harmful to natural resources such as plants. It is also harmful to animals and human nature. And this could be a result of hazardous waste and chemicals like fertilizers, pesticides, oil and gas products disposed on the soil from industrial factories, schools, and various houses.
When there is water pollution, it means that harmful chemicals are released into the rivers, lakes, and oceans. Water is of utmost importance to human nature and plants that if polluted can cause plants to die and diseases to people.
However, there are ways to keep a clean environment and avoid the pollution of land and water. They are;
- Reduction in use of chemicals- Houses and industrial factories should demise another means to dispose of the used chemicals. They can do this by creating a pipeline that shields the waste from plants and water. At home, non-toxic dish cleaners should be used as baking soda and vinegar.
- Recycling of waste materials- waste products such as used paper bags, glass, nylon, bottles can be recycled instead of leaving them in the waste bin.
- Natural plant growth- The use of fertilizers and pesticides on plants should stop. Plants should be allowed to grow naturally without being influenced by chemicals. This will steadily result in a pollution-free environment.
