Let the length of the other side b x m .

Then the area = 5.3 * x

227.9 = 5.3x

x = 227.9 / 5.3

= 43 m

So the perimeter = 2 * (width + length)

= 2(5.3 + 43)

= 2 * 48.3

= 96.6 m

now calculate the perimeter:
