is Y=x you would change 2y to 2x

you would combine 8x+2x=10x

You are now left with 10x=70

Now you would divide 10 from both sides to get x=7

first you subtract 8x to both sides so you get
2y=-8x+ 70
then you divide 2 with everything to get y by itself
-4x+35=y
