Arrange data in order:

12, 9, 17, 15, 10 = 9, 10, 12, 15, 17

mean: add up all the #’s then divide by the amount of numbers

median: find the middle, if there is 2 values for middle then you add them then divide the result by 2


mode: the number that occurs the most in the data set


now solve with this data set:

Mean:

9 + 10 + 12 + 15 + 17 / 2

63 / 5

= 12.6


Median:

9, 10 , 12, 15, 17

12 is the median since it’s the middle


mode: their is no mode since no of the #’s are repeated
