1. Some factors that can cause water pollution include: oil spills, and beach pollution, (left behind plastic for example).
2. Something may people suffer from when they drink untreated water are illnesses such as cholera and dysentery.
3. To prevent water pollution, we should try inacting legislation for harsher punishments for companies responsible for oil spills, to influence said companies into preventing them, and encourage beach clean ups.
4. Negative influences on the environment caused by the polluted water include; the spread of illnesses, plant death caused by taking in contaminated water, (which can also harm crops), animal death due to contaminated water and illness, (which can also harm livestock), and potential starvation, (or at the very least, food insecurity), as a result of crop and livestock death.
5. If I see someone throwing plastic bottles into a lake, a river or a beach, I will try to explain to said person the potential negative effects of their actions to encourage them to stop.
