Explanation:

so first we want to factor, this one is a simple one to factor since it doesn't have a number other than 1 in the first term

what multiplies to 2 and adds to -3

-2 and -1

so we set out our binomials as

(x -2) (x - 1)

then we set each of these to zero (of course it's easier just to swith the signs, but it doesn't work the same if there is a number other the one in front of the x... EX: (2x-2)(3x +4))

x -2 = 0

+2 +2

x = 2

and

x - 1 = 0

+1 +1

x = 1

so the solution, or the zeroes are x = 2, 1
