Answer:

circadian rhythms

Step-by-step explanation:

Cardiac rhtyms :

They are the processes that are repeated every 24 hours approximately (their period is between 20 and 28 hours). They are also known as nictemerales. They are rhythms linked to the rotation of the Earth, and the consequences that it entails on the variation of light, temperature, etc. They are fundamentally metabolic; they produce an alternation in the functional activity of the living being as a whole, or in some particular function, mainly of the endocrine or hormonal system.

With regard to global activity, the distinction between day and night animals should be highlighted, depending on whether the sleep-wake rhythm coincides with that of Nature or not. In both vertebrate and invertebrate animals this alternation between wear and recovery necessary for the normal development of the vital process is demonstrated. The sleep-wake rhythm is of great importance in man as in the other animals, because, apart from what is indicated, it governs and conditions others. This is how the rest and activity determine variations in body temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, heart rate, etc., with a minimum during sleep. Similarly, during the rest period there is a nictemeral variation in the excretion of urine and other products (electrolytes such as Na, K, CI; urea and creatinine). Urinary steroids also show a regular variation in excretion, which suggests a rhythmic endocrine activity of the adrenal which, in turn, would explain the oscillation in electrolyte excretion.
