In a quadratic equation of the form (ax^2 + bx + c), the discriminant is equal to (b^2 - 4ac).
So for the first question it would be
4^2 - 4*(6*-2) = 64
Second question (-7)^2 - 4*(9*5) = -131
You can do the rest.
