So first, we multiply out the brackets.
-15x - 18 + 2 = 17 + 16x -1
Then, bring all the terms onto one side so you can solve.
-15x-18+2-17-16x+1=0
Then, we simplify this.
-31x-32=0
Then, isolate x
-31x=32
x=32/-31 or -1.03 (nearest hundredth )
