Answer: Mr. Smith makes 14,400, Mr. Kelly makes 9,600

Step-by-step explanation: First add the ratio together. 3+2=5.

Then divide 24,000 into five parts, 24,000/5 = 4,800.

After getting 4,800, multiply 4,800 by 3 to get Mr. Smith's portion of the money received. 4,800 x 3 = 14,000.

And you can do the same for Mr. Kelly but use 2 instead of a 3.

4,800 x 2 = 9,600
