For the following scenario, explain, in as EXCRUCIATING DETAIL as possible, exactly what happens in the body from a

SOMATOSENSORY perspective (eyes, ears, skin, brain, etc)

Jerald is a young child of about five years of age. One day, when he is playing outside, he begins to experience several
uncomfortable points of heat in his hand. He looks at his hand to discover it covered in ants, which causes him to
scream at the top of his lungs. Jerald's mother hears the scream and runs outside, thinking that Jerald is being
murdered or kidnapped, but when he shows her his ant-riddled hand, she calms down, brushing the ants off and
speaking to Jerald soothingly. He stops screaming and hugs his mom.
