In Year 11 at the school, the ratio of the number of pupils who study Chemistry to

the number of pupils who study Physics is 3:2
(b) 105 pupils in Year 11 study Chemistry.
Work out the number of pupils in Year 11 who study Physics.

105÷3 is 35

37÷2 is 17.5

Chem : Phy = 3: 2

Since we have 105 pupils studying Chem and let's say we have x students stuyding Phy.

We have :
3:2=105:x


3x=210

x=70
