Explanation:

A(-1,2) and B(7,14), P (x,y)

AP:BP = 1:3

x = -1 + (1/(1+3))(7 - -1)

= -1 + 2

= 1

y = 2 + (1/(1+3))(14-2)

= 2 + 3

= 5
