  • 4x²-8x+3=0

So

  • x=(8±√8²-4²(3))/2(4)
  • x=(8±√64-48)/8
  • x=(8±4)/8
  • x=1±1/2

So

x=3/2 or 1/2

Answer:

  • x = 1.5 or x = 0.5

Explanation:

Given equation:

  • 4x² - 8x + 3 = 0

Find the discriminant:

  • D = b² - 4ac = (-8)² - 4*4*3 = 16

The roots are:

  • x = (-b ± √D)/2a = (8 ± √16)/(2*4) = (8 ± 4)/8 = 1 ± 1/2
  • x = 1.5 or x = 0.5
