First use distribution properties and times everything in the brackets by the number before it
So
7x-14= 3x+ 12
Then subtract the x value from one side and move it to the other
Example
7x-14=3x+12
-3x. -3x
Therefore you’d have
4x-14=12
then move your negative 14
4x-14=12
+14 +14
4x=26
Divide both sides by 4
X=6.5
