Step 1 :- Distribute 2 through parantheses.

  • -12 + ( -8 ÷ 4 )

Step 2 :- Divide the number in the brackets.

  • -12 + ( - 2 )

Step 3 :- When there is a + in the front of an expression in parantheses, the expression remains the same .

  • - 12 - 2

Step 4 :- Calculate the difference.

  • -14 .

Therefore , the answer of this expression is -14.
