George has brought Lennie with him even though he could of have left him behind. Lennie has caused so many problems for George and George would of have been better off without him. However since George is a good friend he sticks with him and doesn't give up. George has been caring for him by getting them both jobs. At the end of the book, George kills Lennie because he doesn't want Lennie to be abused by the other farmhands. By killing Lennie he makes it so Lennie wouldn't have to suffer.
