Under the blanket of hydrogen, rudimentary organic molecules began to form after things calmed down. Some scientists believe that these molecules eventually merged to become RNA, a molecular actor long credited with bringing life to the surface. In other words, virtually as soon as our planet was born, the stage was set for life to arise.
