We need to find x, and x = a + b.

We can find a from the blue triangle, and we can find b from the red triangle.

Blue triangle:

tan 65° = opp/adj

tan 65° = 75/a

a * tan 65° = 75

a = 75/tan 65°

Red triangle:

tan 35° = opp/adj

tan 35° = 75/b

b * tan 35° = 75

b = 75/tan 35°

x = a + b

x = 75/tan 65° + 75/tan 35°

x = 34.97307436 + 107.1111005

x = 142.0841749

Answer: 142.0842
