Explanation:
2x - 14 = -4
2x = 10
x = 5 or -5 because of Mode.

2|x-7|=-4
First divide both sides of equal signs by 2. Then you get :
|x-7|=-2
Add 7 to both sides
x = 5
HOWEVER if you put 5 for x you CAN NOT get a -4 because the bats mean absolute value. So the answer is
NO SOLUTION
