Answer: 125 Red Cars

6:5 = 275; Write as equation by adding a variable to the ratio:

6x + 5x = 275; add
11x = 275; divide
x = 25; put 25 in for “5x,” which represents the ratio 5 for red cars

5(x) = 5(25) = 125

Check:
6(25) + 5(25) = 275; multiply
150 + 125 = 275; add
275 = 275; is true so answer is right.
