Answer: y = ¹/₅ x + ²/₅

Explanation:

The relationship between G(x) and its inverse G⁻¹ (x) is that the domain of G(x) is the range of G⁻¹ (x) and the range of G(x) is the domain of G⁻¹ (x).

∴ If G(x) = 5x - 2 then we can say that for G⁻¹(x) x = 5y - 2 (switching the x and y values)

let x = 5y - 2 (add two to both sides)

x + 2 = 5y (divide both sides by 5)

y = ¹/₅ x + ²/₅
